TYPE CODE

Type Codes are codes of ethics or good professional practice regarding compliance with the rules on protection of personal data, and are regulated by Law 15/1999 LOPD (art . 32 ), and R.D. 1720/2007 wich approved the implementing regulation of LOPD ( arts.71-78 ).

The ANGECO Type Code allows the debt collection industry their compliance with the rules on spanish data protection. The Type Code governs the procedure for processing of personal data and standardize the behavior of the member institutions.

The content of the Type Code has been supervised by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) and registered in the General Register of the Data Protection in November 5, 2015.

The ANGECO Type Code:

It establishes a uniform personal data processing criteria
Increases guarantees compliance with the Data Protection Act
It facilitates the exercise of the rights of those affected.

The ANGECO Type Code provides:

To the member institutions: a tailored rule to the specific debt collection industry reality, collecting clear and easily understandable instructions for the data controller.

To the Public Administration: a set of rules adopted by the AEPD.

To the Citizens: a commitment and guarantee compliance with their rights in relation to the processing of personal data by member companies.
